Will these hands be empty when He comes?
Will there still be work I should have done?
In my Savior's love and power
I'll tell his mercies every hour;
And with joy I'll greet him when He comes.
By my friend, Dick Anthony

Years ago I reached out to the Spanish Speaking World and asked God to fill my hands with changed lives. Dan Gute, standing with me, recently asked me to be the featured speaker in his church. Dan and I spoke of Guatemala where he was raised by missionary parents.

Just a few days ago, in Guatemala, many walked into the out stretched hands of Christ to receive eternal life. But, my best moments were when Walter Ramirez embraced me and exclaimed, "34 years ago at the age of 6 I placed myself into Christ's redeeming hand in one of your crusades."

Then came more... Josiel Vasquez related,
"At the age of 15 I walked out of a Guatemala bar, heard the music of your crusade, entered and placed myself into the hands of my Savior. I am now 42 and have been in His care ever since."
C.S. Lewis quoted Augustine: "God gives where He finds empty hands." Moody's TODAY IN THE WORD explains, "Godly stewardship requires OPEN HANDS where as the world's posture is CLOSED HANDS, grabbing tightly to all we can get. Openhandedness is not normal. Giving is not only about meeting needs or reaching goals, but about the glory of God. After all, the most extravagant act of generosity in the history of the universe was the INDESCRIBABLE GIFT of God's Son, Jesus Christ."

Thank you for YOUR OPEN HANDS, allowing your consecrated gifts to flow through you and reach us, so that we can pass them on to change lives forever, like Walter and Josiel.
